We are excited to invite you to Masorti Together, a community-wide day of learning, celebration and fundraising, being held online on Sunday 28 February. 

We’ve planned an amazing line-up of sessions and will be joined by exciting speakers and cover topics including politics, wellbeing, Israel, cookery, diversity and representation, Jewish learning and more. 

Speakers include producer Dikla Barkai discussing the runaway hit Shtisel with Rabbi Zahavit Shalev, BBC North America editor Jon Sopel speaking with Rabbi Jeremy Gordon about post-Trump America, Stephen Bush discussing his life and career with Rabbi Oliver JosephHaaretz correspondent and columnist Anshel Pfeffer giving his expert opinion on Israel’s latest elections and comedy from Shazia Mirza and Josh Howie. We’ll also hear from Noam alumni, study Talmud with Masorti rabbis and learn to cook signature vegetarian dishes with Bubala head chef Helen Graham.

Post-Trump: A return to normal?
TV presenter Jon Sopel will be discussing America after Trump and his new book, UnPresidented: politics, pandemics, and the race that Trumped all others. In conversation with Rabbi Jeremy Gordon of New London Synagogue.

Tikkun Olam: Noam Alumni change the world
TED-style talks from amazing Noam Alumni chaired by Rachel Sklan, Deputy Chief Executive of Masorti Judaism. With David Davies, Adam Fine, Hannah Kashman, Sarah-Beth Neville and Ben Russell.

As Israel goes to the polls for the fourth time in two years Anshel Pfeffer, correspondent and columnist for Haaretz, gives his expert opinion on the key issues, important players, likely outcomes and how they will affect Israel’s future. In conversation with Dr Leonie Fleischmann, Co-Chair of Masorti Judaism.

See what Noam’s young people get up to each summer as they debate the thorniest moral and religious issues with our rabbis. 

Daf Yomi
Join hundreds of thousands of Jews around the world as they learn a daily page of Talmud. Come and study with one of our best Talmud teachers Rabbi Chaim Weiner. For everyone from total beginners to advanced learners.

Join Shazia Mirza and Josh Howie as they talk and joke about how being Muslim and Jewish affects their comedy, and how people receive their comedy. 

Masorti Thinks: LGBT+ Masorti Rabbis
Hear from a panel of LGBT+ Masorti rabbis about their experiences and what they think we should be doing about inclusion in the community.

Cookalong with Bubala chef Helen Graham
Join Helen Graham, head chef of Bubala, to learn to cook two signature Bubala dishes: halloumi with black seed honey and fried aubergines with date syrup and zhoug. (Limited Availability).

Behind the scenes of Shtisel
A look behind the scenes of one of the year’s TV hits, Shtisel, with its executive producer Dikla Barkai. Dikla will be joined by Rabbi Zahavit Shalev as they discuss her career and the programmes overnight success.
