Hidayah and Masorti Judaism are dedicated to queer people of faith – of the Muslim and Jewish faiths respectively. Together, we hope to go back to the roots of Pride this year, by celebrating where our religions’ paths intersect, and taking pride in our identities in their full glory.

About Hidayah:

Hidayah’s mission is to provide support and welfare for LGBTQIA+ Muslims, promote social justice and education about our community to counter discrimination, prejudice, and injustice, and create a safe and sustainable community with a long-lasting impact. Hidayah is a secular organisation, but its projects and activities are developed specifically for the needs of LGBTQI+ Muslims. Our vision is to ensure our voices are heard and understood. We are a mix of practicing and non-practicing Muslims. However, we warmly welcome friends, families, and allies to our events.

About Masorti Judaism’s LGBT+ Network:

Masorti Judaism offers traditional Judaism for modern Jews. The Masorti LGBT+ Network is a welcoming group that meets for social events, workshops and more, celebrating LGBT+ identities in a Masorti Jewish context. The Network met for the first time in July 2020, for their first Pride Shabbat, along with members of many Masorti synagogues in an online event).

The Masorti-wide LGBT+ Network, reaches members from Masorti communities across the UK. It is informal and member-led, with some taking an active role in organising events and other members joining as and when they can. Masorti Judaism also runs an LGBT+ Inclusion Project, launched in 2021 in partnership with KeshetUK, and funded by a three-year grant from the National Lottery Community Fund.
