Become a Masorti Judaism trustee

We are recruiting voluntary/unpaid trustee/s for a three-year term of office (renewable) beginning 2nd September 2021.

We’re looking for two trustees to support Masorti Judaism’s work for the next three years. If you’re committed to the values of Masorti Judaism and have skills in the areas of youth work, safeguarding or fundraising, we would love you to apply.

People who identify as LGBTQ+, people of Colour, people with disabilities and younger people (age 18-40) are currently under-represented on our board and we actively encourage applications from people in these groups. We are also keen to receive applications from former members of Noam Masorti Youth.

  • Attending 10 Board meetings per year and any relevant committee meetings
  • Taking on a specific portfolio or area of responsibility as agreed with the co-chairs
  • Ensuring good governance, legal compliance, and effective performance by putting important issues on the agenda for Board meetings, taking professional advice, asking questions, supporting the professional team and holding them to account
  • Using your professional skills to support the organisation’s work

Applicants for these roles will be interviewed by our Nominations Committee and, if successful, will be put up for election at our Annual General Meeting on 2nd September at 8pm. All properly nominated candidates will have the opportunity to address the meeting and answer questions.
