Joe is currently a Non Executive Director of JLiving (UK’s largest Jewish Housing Assn.) and is a member of the Council of the NLS. Joe has a number of board and advisory positions in the technology and new media markets.
He has an extensive background in business where his previous roles included executive management experience with Nortel Networks as Managing Director of Nortel’s business in half of Western Europe, at the Panduit Corporation where he served as Managing Director for Europe, Middle East and Africa and as Chief Executive Officer of Wideyes AB, a pan European new media business. He has also served as non-executive director on a number of boards and as Chair of the leading Savile Row tailor Henry Huntsman & Sons and Chair of Myacom, a telecoms manufacturing business.
Joe was formerly a Councillor, Cabinet Member for Adult Social Care & Health and Leader of the Conservative Party in Hammersmith and Fulham. He has served on a number of NHS Boards in non executive leadership positions. He has published articles and papers on politics, public policy, health care, law enforcement and the Shoah. He is a prominent supporter of veterans and the armed services.
Joe has a long history of support for the charity sector including as a Trustee of Arthritis Research UK, the world’s largest funder of independent research into arthritis, an Ambassador for MENCAP, and a special adviser to the Willow Foundation.
He has been a long term supporter of his alumnus Newcastle University where he has served as Chair of the Development Board of the Faculty of Medical Sciences and a member of Court. He was awarded an Honorary Fellowship by the University in 2008.
Joe is married with three children and lives in central London.
