Eden Berman is the Noam shlicha bringing Israeli culture, holidays, language and vibes from Israel to our Noam and Marom people. She builds Israel focused programmes for all age groups, including Marom university students.
I am so excited to be on the mazkirut this year, leading Noam in a way in which shaped me as a person and provided me with confidence, critical thinking skills, the ability to create fun and build relationships with anyone around me.
I have been on Noam since the age of 11 and have grown up through the movement. I have been a chanicha, madricha, rosh, rakezet, and now the Mazkira. Something I particularly love about Noam is the space it provides our madrichim and chanichim to engage in activities and programming they otherwise wouldn’t, and to belong to a supportive Jewish community in which they can be fully themselves.
I have just graduated from the University of York with a degree in Psychology. Alongside my course, I have been on the committees for the competitive university cheerleading team, the Jewish society and my college football team. I hope to incorporate these skills and Noam experiences into this job.
I hope to continue to grow on my own personal Noam journey, whilst facilitating others. I am really excited for a year filled with fun, music, learning and community. So if we haven’t met, please introduce yourselves!

Rosa has been part of Noam since Kaytana and has been on every summer camp since Shori A in 2014.
Izzie began her Noam journey in 2014 as a timid little Shorashim Aleph chanicha and has been on every camp since. As well as camp, Izzie has stuffed her Noam timeline with veidot, winter camps, kaytanot, European conferences, shabbatonim, serving on the Moetza and Va’ad Tnua, and Drachim – the Noam gap year program.
In light of this, she considers herself a ‘product of Noam’ (#DamYarok), feeling as though the movement has significantly shaped the person she is today, what she cares about and how she actualises this passion.
Izzie graduated with a degree in Economics, Environmental Science and Ecology from the University of York, where she also served as the president of the Jewish Society and held committee positions in the university rugby club and her college football team. As well as this, she (together with a fellow Noamnik) established York Jewish Walking Tours, shedding light onto the forgotten Jewish history of the city.
Since Noam has given her and so many young people a voice, she is grateful for the opportunity to help the next generation of Noamniks find theirs. She is especially looking forward to Veida, Marom and Bogrim events, and planning Drachim, and she will be the community worker for NNLS, Havurah and Oxford and Manchester-based Noam chapters.
