Moira Hart

Moira joined St Albans Masorti Synagogue shortly after it was formed in 1990 and has been an active member of the community ever since. In 2015 Moira was elected Co-Chair and during her term led the working group that recruited Rabbi Adam Zagoria-Moffet. Most of Moira’s professional life has been centred around teaching and learning in several different environments; initially as a trainer for an IT company and subsequently teaching IT for nearly 20 years in a sixth form college. For many years she ran workshops on Judaism in local schools and has more recently become involved in Holocaust education and now regularly give talks on the subject. She has also been Chair of Governors of an outstanding secondary school in Harpenden for 12 years so has a lot of experience with trustee boards and governance. She has four sons who all benefitted to some degree from NOAM. She loves to entertain and cook for family and friends and, much to her own surprise, has lately become a keen cyclist.
