Job Opportunity: Head of Finance and Operations, New North London Synagogue

£40,000 – £48,000 per annum pro rata (commensurate with experience)

New North London Synagogue (NNLS) is a thriving Masorti community in North London with a membership in excess of 3,000. It is the largest Masorti synagogue in the UK, and one of the leading congregations of any denomination in the country. Based at its purpose-built premises in Finchley, NNLS sits at the cutting edge of contemporary Jewish life, constantly striving to develop and enhance Judaism for its members, and sharing its values and ideas with wider society.  

Reporting to the Executive Director you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of community finances and head office operations. The role will include setting and managing budgets, preparing management accounts, negotiating and managing contracts, and various aspects of risk management.

The role will suit an accountant either qualified formally or by experience, who can demonstrate experience comprising both finance and wider operations. You will be adaptable, a capable manager and able to communicate effectively at all levels.
